First of all it's very simple really. POD put out the album "Snuff the Punk" with a picture of the devil on the front. Now everyone has known throughout the years that the devil is a "punk"...so in conclusion there's only one answer. Punk rock is the devil. That's why you shouldn't listen to it. Peace.

Oh yeah.....this post is totally intended as a joke....I got nothing but love for my punk bros and sis. I may not like it...but I respect it. Peace

I'm not a big punk fan myself.  I don't like many bands that play punk rock.  There are a few talented bands out there, but overall I think they just don't cut it.  I'm mostly into Hardcore, and Hard Rock.

Every town has its up's and downs.  Sometimes ups outnumbers the downs, but not in Nottingham.  I'm inclined to believe if we weren't so down we'd up and leave.  We'd up and fly if we had wings for flyin, can't you see the tears we're crying.  Can't

Lol, don't make me start talking about the whiny sounding vocals.  Those guys sound more girly than most women!  Dude, there's something wrong with a band that plays only three to four chords really fast, with a few sweet guitar solos here and there, for the guys to sound really feminine.  Lol.  And no, the falsetto of the metal we listen to doesn't sound girly like punk does.

Hehehe

I must agree that the majority of punk bands both Christian and secular, well, stink. I will make an exception for The Altar Boys and Undercover.(They kind of straddled that punk/new wave line in the 80's)  Good secular punk bands? I can't think of any at the moment. The Sex Pistols actually bragged about their inability to play with any sort of skill!(I am in denial about mine!)The Ramones? Can you say overrated? Skip the solos and play the same 3 or 4 chord pattern really fast. No thanks! Give me THE METAL!         GB

I guess there are advantages to punk and heavy metal. If you like a 2 1/2 minute song with simple chords, go with punk. If you like shredding solos and raging drums, go with old school heavy metal.

I don't think male punk singers sound girly. Have you ever heard Social Distortion, old Billy Idol, or Rancid? Those guys don't sound girly.

I must confess I am a wannabe punk rocker. I listen to very little punk and heavy metal.
