BTW, read where people consider them "southern" metal/hardcore.......CAN"T "hear" the southern in some of these bands.

I think the only one that they call southren metal/hardcore that sounds southren is Mayleen and the Sons of Disaster. I sort of hear it with the new Showdown album and i do not hear is at all on the He Is Legend albums, but they are considered this new southren style

Those are all of the Southren hard core/metal bands that I know of in the Tri rock vein

Hey David  you might want to check out these guys a good metal band doing the hardcore vocals. Blessed By A Broken Heart. I'd say try the songs Another Day Another War , or The Devil is the Don.
These guys are good and don't take them selves to seriously, there are pictures of them all glammed out on their my space page and if you can hear the song mic skillz they sing the alphabet in hardcore metal style
