And we know you are REALLY old there, Big D

Just kidding, as I am not that far behind you!

Actually I would vote for Larry Norman or Phil Keaggy myself.

Definitely the roots of Christian rock in the U.S.

And Sam . . . . . you are such a loon!  Although it does make sense, in a way.  Honestly, King David was a musician, was bold in the face of adversity AND he danced before the Lord, sounds a lot like a rocker to me!

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

You better believe it!  Seriously!

Every town has its up's and downs.  Sometimes ups outnumbers the downs, but not in Nottingham.  I'm inclined to believe if we weren't so down we'd up and leave.  We'd up and fly if we had wings for flyin, can't you see the tears we're crying.  Can't

LOL!

Woo-hoo!

Jubal, who could I have forgotten him?

And Don, I am now permanently stuck with the image of someone playing an electric harp!  Thanks SOOOOO much for that!

Excuse me? Would you please retype that with the proper grammar?  I mean, I cant make heads or  tails of this.  If were lost in a forest, it would be like .... trying to find an exit when there is no exit ..... it would be like being locked in a grocery store over night and thinking that you're going to starve to death.

Sammy!

Leave poor Don alone!

And seriously, locked in a grocery store over night and thinking that you're going to starve to death?  Where do you come up with this stuff?

Well it can't be my mind, I pawned that a long time ago to buy this cool thing.  Sadly, I don't remember what the thing is cause my mind was pawned. Lol

While Larry Norman may no thave been the first IMO he certainly had the biggest impact on early Jesus Rock.  He took a lot of flak for it here in the US.  Really didn't get his props intil the 90's.

A man can no more diminsh God's glory by not worshipping him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word darkness on the walls of his cell.

ROTFL! Hahahaha!
Man...now I've got pictures of a dude hangbangin' on a harp in my head lol

And Larry Norman isn't a bad pick. He definetly took a stand more than most. The only other band I could think of is mabye Stryper...seeing as they were one of the first
